Mid of 2009

Tsk tsk this blog is almost forgotten. A concoction of work, lack of time and motivation has contributed to this. Well I must thank the minority of my friends who take the effort to visit my blog and shout out at my chatbox to make updates. I appreciate it folks:)

Currently I am really tied down with work and the old phrase "all work but no play makes Jack a dull boy" is probably in sync with my life at this moment. I feel so boring and basically do not have much personal time. Most of the time I will catch up with friends for dinner after work. Probably it is a blessing that I do not have many commitments currently. Hopefully a better opportunity comes by in the near future (which I really hope).

Work aside, I manage to take time after work recently to catch this movie with my group of friends. I would say it struck a chord with me and I think ithis movie really shows that people are who they are because of events that happen in their lives. At the same time, it is light heartening with the jokes in it. Overall my group enjoy it and I definitely think its worth my money. I will give a score of 4 out of 5. I shan't disclose much and you folks should got catch it. Definitely worth catching it.

Yeh!..

All right I am officially employed! I am quite excited about the thought of working. Though it is quite sale oriented, I believe I can learn something from this and gain experience. Moreover I believe it is an important stepping stone for me in my career. Hopefully I will be able to achieve my goal in future though the road will be tough. Thanks to Kenneth for introducing me indirectly to this job. I own you one. Also thanks to Ju for helping me out to make the job process fast and efficient. I think I have lesser freedom time now haha.

End of February...

Why does time passes so fast? It's because so that new things can arrive earlier. Somehow I don't feel that my life has been newer in any way. In fact, it has become monotonous in a way. Probably because I am working? Anyway for my readers, I am currently working part time at Adidas while searching for a permanent job. If you ask me how hard it is to find a job, I will rate a scale 10 out of 10. Ok I am just exaggerating because in Singapore, there will always be jobs around. It is only a matter of the price you are asking for. I really really must secure a job soon. If not there will be an influx of graduates and unemployed people in the next few months. Pray pray...

2009 1st Post...

I AM BACK!!! Yeah I know it's kind of late to be posting my first entry for 2009 after 2 months of inactivity but at least I made an effort. Nevertheless wishing my readers a happy 2009 and may you have a blessed year!

So what's going on now? Well graduation appeared to happen faster than expected. Before you know it, you are now out in the working work. To make matters worse, in such bad economic times, finding jobs seems to be more daunting than ever. Well maybe I am just picky because it isn't so bad. I always believe that you shouldn't be too fussy when you search for a job. However if you are seeking for your first full time employment, there is actually significance to this. It may determine what your career path is. Well all I can do now is flood those agencies with my resume, cross my fingers and hope for the best. Oh well it seems inevitable that I will be drawn into the rat race.

Anyway it's going to be Chinese New Year soon. Time to shop around for the best bargains, provided I don't burst my pocket haha. Cheers everyone!

Clearing Cobwebs for October...

Wow this is my only entry for the month of October. Ok my excuse this time is studying for exams but I think it is not a good excuse haha. 2 more papers to clear... go go go!!! Recently there is nothing inspirational for me to blog about or thoughts to ponder. Lately my mind is more preoccupied about graduating and the prospect of working in December. I have been trying not to be affected by all the negativity out there about how bleak the economy will be for the next few years. I just know that the only thing I can do now is to focus and do my part. The rest I have to leave it to fate, God, circumstances or whatever you call. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Bad September...

Why do I call this post bad september? It's because the economic situation looks rather disastrous, with so many financial institutions falling. This paints a rather bleak post-graduate situation for me and my university friends at the end of the year. Oh well it can't always be down in the depths forever right? So I am hopeful things will go up and be better. Regardless what happens, life goes on.

Just now I met up with my bestie for a catch up session. It's been some time since we met. We chatted a lot of stuff and I found that we have really changed and matured since our younger days. Bestie offered some good advice and I am proud to say that after all these years, he is sometimes a really good role model and someone I can depend on. Thanks bro, I will always be there for you.

Now four more papers to clear. Must work doubly hard this time. But first let me unwind for a few more days before kickstarting my engine.
