BroadcastAsia

Last week I was working at the Singapore Expo for the BroadcastAsia Exhibition. The event lasted for 4 days, in conjunction with CommunicAsia. This holidays was rather short so I could only manage to find those ad hoc jobs. So what was I doing down there? Well I was the shuttle bus boy with a few other guys. We were just in charge of ensuring that people board the right bus to the respective hotels in Singapore. It was a rather mundane job but once the exhibition ended, there will be a huge queue for the shuttle bus service.

Hop on!

I also made a pair of new spectacles. Since my army days, I have been using my current pair of spectacles for like almost four years. Surprisingly it is able to last so long haha. Anyway I like my new pair of spectacles. It adds some colour to my outfit haha.

Its white!

At a loss...

June...

Grandma is getting better but still need to be kept under observation. The doctor confirmed it was a stroke and she needs more care than ever. Thankfully for now she is fine. I really hope things will get better.

There was one night I was feeling rather down and so I decided to go up Henderson Waves to clear my thoughts. Surprisingly I felt better after going up there. Probably it was because I had to walk uphill and it made me sweat out a bit haha. Another thing was probably the scenery that calm my thoughts. At least now I know where to go when I am feeling down. Some photos I took with my handphone.

Even with my modest 3.2 megapixel camera handphone, I think the Henderson Waves bridge is very beautiful. A good place to have a romantic rendevous as well hehe

Yup I bought a lot of stuff during the quarterly IT Fair at Suntec. As usual, it was "people mountain people sea". This time round, I still have some walking space so it was still not bad. Saw quite a number of my fellow classmates working over there. It felt like I was back in school haha. Darn I should have worked as my allowance is running low now. I bought mostly accessories like laptop bag and thumbdrive. Also got a webcam for fun lol. Now there is a problem. After installing the webcam, my laptop is now in a world of silence. Stupid webcam! It must be something that I have configured by accident. If anyone out there knows what might be the problem, please drop a tag at my tagbox. I greatly appreciate it! (Ok I solved the problem!)

I also bought this new pair of cool shades from River Island as one of the lens of my previous pair of shades came off. I chose a pair of shades with a bigger frame because I intend to use it for my beach outings. It will look weird wearing such a big pair of shades for casual outings haha. Suddenly I feel like buying another one. Perhaps in future, I will invest in a pair of Oakley sunglasses.

Does the heart follows the path it chooses or the path which the mind dreams of...

Hoping for the Best...

Recently many things have been happening in my life. Although it is the holidays, I am quite busy with stuff to do. It is good to keep my mind occupied once a while. Then again certain issues have been challenging. This is my "so called" holidays haha. I need to be strong, especially at this point of time. I don't deny that I am mentally and physically drained but not entirely till the verge of no return. This is a test, no question about it. I can only hope I will be still standing tall after this. Most importantly I really pray for my grandma's well being. It hurts when I saw her in her condition.

I may look emotionless
But I am still human
Finding ways to seek solace is my only option
If only I have someone behind
To share my feelings
But I know it's impossible
At this point of time...

Busy again...

Yes lately I have been busy with council stuff. But first some updates on the past few weeks.

Yes Manchester United are the Champions of Europe once again! Yes I agree it is outdated news but it is a fact. Woohoo! I admitted Chelsea deserved to win though but lady luck was smiling on the Red Devils side :)

Here some pictures taken during my one day job stint at ABN Amro Bank family day at Wild Wild Wet. Thanks to Keith for this temporary job. It was a rather hot day and there were quite a number of boxes to move from one place to another. Besides that, we have to be ushers, food distributors and balloon blowers haha. On the bright side, there was free lunch and ice-cream for each of us. At the end of the day, we decided to chill out at the Coffee Bean outlet in the new East Hub. What a day!

Then one of the days last week, a group of my friends and I celebrated Wayne's belated birthday at Mind's Cafe. Dinner for me was chicken chop, which was a big serving as you can see in the picture above. It was quite good and the price was worth it. We played games like Ugly, Uno Stacko and some game that I forgot the name which required the players to make animal sounds. It was quite hilarious for that animal game.

As I mentioned earlier, I was busy with council stuff these few weeks. There were some issues to settle and many plannings involved for the upcoming events for the next semester. I foresee I will be very very very busy (OH NO). Nevertheless I made a promise that regardless of my invovlement in council, I will manage my time properly to juggle my studies, council and personal life. It will be hard but with time and proper management, I believe I can do it. Well hopefully I still have time to blog haha.

A very grey area I am stepping into, which I do not know the outcome...
